A Project Executive/Associate & Senior Architect is Needed for an Established Architectural Firm based in Johannesburg

An established Architectural Firm based in Johannesburg is seeking a Qualified, Registered and Professional Architect to join their team. The Candidate must have more than 10 years experience working as a Professional Architect and Principal Agent on large Commercial projects as well as staff and office management experience. Candidates must also have extensive experience and knowledge with Contracts and Construction.

The Client has requested that this position is only for Candidates who are qualified as a Professional Architect with a minimum of 10 years working experience as a Professional Architect and/or Principal Agent!  

This is an Executive Permanent position based in Johannesburg with a 6 month probation period. No remote or hybrid working. Full time employment based at the office 5 days a week!

Requirements: This is a non-equity executive position

  • Masters in Architecture
  • SACAP Registration: Professional Architect
  • 10 Years experience working as a Professional Architect and Principal Agent
  • Running of projects from start to completion
  • All stages of Construction and Architecture
  • Office Management: Ensures that the office runs orderly and productively
  • Staff Management
  • Project Management
  • Business Development
  • Managing a team of 8-10 Employees on a project
  • strong Client liaison skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial personality
  • Very motivated and driven to grow the Company further
  • Ability to carry lots of responsibilities on their shoulders
  • Works well under pressure and run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiar with construction contracts
  • Contract administration
  • Additional administrative duties
  • Financial administration and financial management with financial teams
  • Assistance with recruitment and selection of new employees in the Company
  • Confident personality to go knocking on doors to drive the business and develop it further
  • Take responsibility for the Company and multiple projects, ability to “hold the ball” and sit in the driving seat!

Salary: Market related depending on the Candidate’s current salary, skills, experience, expertise and qualifications. Performance Bonuses – performance related!
