Bookkeeper Sandton February 2025
Job Summary
A leading manufacturer of high-quality kitchens is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in both creditors and debtors management, along with a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial functions efficiently.
Salary: R25 – 30 000/m Gross
Key Responsibilities
• Creditors Management: Capture transactions, reconcile creditor statements, and process payments for group companies.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Allocate payments, credit notes, and discounts; follow up on outstanding debtor accounts.
• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate filing of all creditors’ documentation and assist with audits as required.
• Supplier & Internal Liaison: Address and resolve supplier queries regarding payments and collaborate with internal departments on invoice-related matters.
• Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts.
• Billing & Reporting: Process retainer billing sales invoices and prepare financial reports, including margin reports.
• Inter-Company Transactions: Manage financial transactions across group entities.
• Inventory Assistance: Support inventory management processes as needed.
• General Accounting Support: Assist the finance team with overflow accounting duties and ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience
• Educational Background: Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (a degree in Finance will be advantageous).
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a financial role with a focus on creditors and debtors.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as Xero or Pastel is essential.
