Job Title: Build / Remodel Compliance Manager

Role Summary
This role ensures that all Company new builds and remodels (over 100 new and 300 remodels annually) are completed according to approved designs and align with company brand and operational standards. You’ll also ensure existing stores are maintained to deliver a great customer experience, and track design compliance using clear reporting tools.

• Internal: Development, Construction, Ops, Design, Supply Chain, Marketing, REX teams
• External: Franchisees, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers
• Main Focus: Ensuring consistency in execution, maintaining standards, influencing best practices

• Ensure what’s built matches the plan
• Identify gaps and suggest ways to improve design approval and execution processes
• Recommend enhancements for better customer and team experiences

• Make judgment calls on design compliance and execution quality
• Recommend improvements in design processes and tools
• Influence layout and design to balance brand, customer, and operational needs

Innovation
• Improve how projects are reviewed, tracked, and aligned with company standards
• Develop new tools or processes for better oversight and quality control

Experience & Qualifications
• 3–5 years’ experience in design or construction management
• Background in managing multiple retail or commercial projects
• Strong skills in design review, technical drawings, and spatial planning
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Corel Draw, Adobe Suite, Excel
• Strong communicator with ability to build relationships and work independently
• Preferred: Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Construction Management
• Bonus: Registered with a relevant professional council or body

Working Conditions
• Based in the office with regular site visits across South Africa and Africa
• Must follow health & safety protocols on construction sites
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure
Salary Band: R700 000 – R900 000 Annually depending on experience, skills, qualifications and current gross
