Position: Design Architect
Location: Johannesburg North (JHB North)
We are seeking a talented and creative Design Architect to join our team for a large mixed-use project. As a leader in Africa’s architectural landscape, we offer a full range of services, including architecture, engineering, sustainability, urban design, and building management. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures the development of innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions for modern buildings, integrating mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce design and technical documentation across all PROCSA Work Stages 1-4, demonstrating strong creativity and design skills, particularly during conceptual stages.
• Collaborate within a design team to deliver innovative solutions across a range of building typologies and environments.
• Lead the preparation of design options for cost feasibility studies, architectural concepts, and interior architecture designs, and guide the development process through to the documentation phase.
• Create, plan, and conceptualize all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring the integration of all architectural requirements and consultant inputs.
• Effectively communicate design intent and concepts, aligning with international client and operator brand standards.
• Work closely with architectural visualizers and graphic designers to prepare high-quality presentation materials.
• Build and maintain positive business relationships through clear, professional communication.
• Prepare and archive completed architectural designs and technical drawings.
• Perform additional duties as required by the project or management.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the field, with experience in a Design Management role being an advantage.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary design teams and deliver high-quality design solutions on time and within budget.

Core Competencies:
• Strong understanding of design principles, architectural trends, and best practices, with a meticulous eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing design options for cost feasibility studies, full architectural and interior concepts, and guiding projects from concept to technical documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including massing tools, scheduling, keynotes, and other tools essential for project documentation.
• Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp or FormIt, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and quick visualization tools like Twinmotion for Revit, Lumion, or Enscape.
• Working knowledge of BIM360 & ACC collaboration platforms is required.
