Design & Architectural Firm in Cape Town: Project Manager – Interior Retail Spaces

A leading design and architectural studio in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of dynamic, high-impact retail interior spaces. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on site, leads with confidence, and has a sharp eye for detail and quality.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• 🧑🤝🧑 Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead internal design and technical teams, liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure clear communication and aligned objectives.
• 🛠️ Site & Installation Oversight
Manage all on-site activities including shop fitting, installations, and quality control to ensure timely and accurate execution.
• 📋 Project Planning & Coordination
Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from concept through to completion.
• 🧰 Problem Solving & Decision Making
Tackle on-site challenges efficiently, ensuring that the design vision and practical functionality are maintained.
• 🧾 Documentation & Compliance
Oversee site reports, snag lists, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and municipal requirements.

✅ Requirements:
• 📅 3–5+ years’ experience in interior fit-out project management, preferably within retail environments
• 🏗️ Strong background in shop fitting, construction, or architectural installation processes
• 👷♂️ Proven ability to manage multiple sites and contractors simultaneously
• 📐 Understanding of technical drawings and the design-to-build process
• 🧑💼 Confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills
• 📍 Cape Town-based with flexibility to travel to sites as needed
• 🚗 Valid driver’s license essential
