Franchise Development Manager Needed for QSR Projects –SA & ROSSA, Position based in Sandton
Role for SA and ROSSA:
The Franchise Development Manager, will be required to travel across South Africa as well as to neighbouring African countries.
The successful Candidate will be reporting to: Head of Development
Requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum NQF Level 7
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering, Property, Built Environment); MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years commercial experience in Franchise Development
• Job Location – Joburg required
• Must be excellent people partner and influencer to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant development experience required with preference to direct retail development experience in QSR or other strategic partners
Key Responsibilities:
• Franchise New Unit, Relocate and Remodel Opening Plan
• Franchise Development Strategy
• Site findings/acquisition
• Evolving development infrastructure and improving business model
Communication with:
• Development Leadership Team – input, updates and leadership
• Africa Leadership Team – project and pipeline updates along with new initiatives
• Franchisees – influencing new projects and driving project plans for approved new units
• Contractors/Developers – sourcing new projects and driving completion of branches in existing developments
• Investment Committee – leads franchise Investment Committee
Problem Solving And Analysis:
Deep understanding of Project Management needed to drive tight project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on-time to meet financial year obligations. The style and manner in which this leadership and influence is delivered is up to the individuals specific capability and style. Role drives the overall franchise pipeline and works with franchisees to ensure project management tactics achieve the overall goal and timeline for the project
Innovations:
Role will constantly be evaluating ways to optimize both the project management and pipeline processes to ensure a more timely delivery of the overall new build and remodel pipeline annually. This should include innovation on how projects are reviewed, field visits to ensure quality projects and ways to improve speed to approval and completion along with other methods (incentives, etc.) to increase the number of projects in the pipeline
Salary: R1.2 Mill P/A- Market related and will depend on the Candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and current salary.
