An Interior Design Company based in Sandton is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join their Team!
R E Q U I R E M E N T S :
• Degree in interior design as well as 1-2 years’ experience in the Interior Design field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong 3D rendering skills with proficiency in SketchUp and/or Blender and/or 3D Max
• Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes.
• Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders and purchasing process
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with the company
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humour
• Added benefit: social media experience
R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S :
• Assist in creating detailed design plans using AutoCAD and Revit
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand project requirements and provide design solutions
• General research and sourcing
• Support the preparation of presentations by creating mood boards, floorplans, drawings and elevations as well as design proposals
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the smooth execution of projects
• Maintain project documentation and ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations
Salary market related depending on the Candidate’s current salary, skills, experience and portfolio.
