Requirements for a Mid to Senior Level Interior Architect

Role Details
• Title: Interior Architectural Designer
• Reporting To: Head of Design
• Contract Type: Permanent (3 -month probation period)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Salary: Market-related (R32K – R35K)

Key Responsibilities
Design Development
• Lead initial and follow-up design consultations to develop and refine client briefs.
• Conduct site audits and prepare As-Built drawings.
• Create concept designs, and full design development documentation.
• Develop 3D models and renders to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Deliver compelling client presentations, showcasing concepts, mood boards, and sample finishes.

Technical and Project Coordination
• Able to prepare comprehensive working, council, and landlord compliance drawings beneficial.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, ensuring alignment across all MEP services.
• RFQ documentation to brief contractors and adjudicate quotes.
• Ensure design solutions align with approved budgets and client expectations.

Project Implementation
• Oversee design alignment during construction, providing updated drawings as required.
• Attend weekly contractor meetings and ensure on-site design implementation.
• Support the procurement and installation of décor, art, furniture, and final touches post-construction.
• Complete As-Built drawings and project handover documentation, including landlord submissions where necessary.

Requirements
Technical Expertise
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Revit, alongside proficiency in Twinmotion is benficial.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and built environment project workflows.
• Proven experience in construction, services, and technical infrastructure integration.
• Sound knowledge of design sequencing and project lifecycle processes.
