The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity awaits a talented and design-driven Mid–Senior Interior Designer with solid experience in the corporate and workplace design sector. This role is perfect for a creative yet technically proficient designer who thrives in fast-paced project environments and enjoys seeing ideas evolve from concept to completion.
Based in Gardens, Cape Town, you will be part of a passionate team delivering innovative and functional interior environments for a variety of workplace clients. You’ll have the chance to apply your design expertise across multiple stages of a project — from conceptual design to technical detailing and on-site coordination.
This position offers excellent exposure to project management, client liaison, and presentation development, as well as opportunities to refine your communication and leadership skills. You’ll be involved in internal and external presentations, ensuring that design intent aligns seamlessly with technical and commercial realities.

Key Responsibilities
• Participate in all project stages, from Work Stage 02 through to Work Stage 06.
• Develop design concepts, space planning layouts, and technical documentation for workplace interiors.
• Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and project managers to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
• Prepare and manage council submissions, approvals, and compliance certificates, through to project handover.
• Stay informed of current design and workplace trends, materials, and technologies.
• Assist in project budgeting and feasibility studies.
• Contribute to maintaining a high design standard and consistency across all project deliverables.

Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Interior Design (National 3-year Diploma or 4-year University Degree).
• 5+ years of professional experience in corporate interior design and space planning.
• Strong conceptual, design, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Extensive understanding of local suppliers and service delivery within South Africa.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Software proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa is essential.
