Are you a skilled and driven production professional with a passion for quality craftsmanship and team leadership? Our client, a leading Interior Design company based in Sandton, is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader (Shopfitting) to join their dynamic manufacturing team.

🔧 About the Role
As the Production Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of a skilled production team, ensuring all shopfitting components are manufactured to the highest quality, on time, and in line with safety standards. You will play a key role in managing workflow, motivating staff, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.

💼 Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Motivate, lead and develop a high-performing production team.
• Production Oversight: Coordinate daily activities to meet production targets in collaboration with the Production Manager.
• Quality Control: Ensure all outputs meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.
• Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Workflow Management: Oversee materials, equipment, and cleanliness on the shop floor.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency improvements and best practices.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Design, Procurement, and other teams to ensure seamless production delivery.
• Reporting: Track and report on production progress, quality issues, and team performance.

📚 Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production leadership role within the shopfitting, joinery, or cabinetry industry.
• Matric certificate required. Additional production or leadership training/certifications will be advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge of shopfitting processes, woodworking machinery, CNC operations, and spray finishing.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Solid planning and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards.
