Professional Architect Needed for Namibia – ArchiCAD Proficient

A Qualified and Professional Architect for Established Architectural Firm based in Windhoek

A well-established architectural firm based in Windhoek, Namibia, is looking to hire a Professional Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in architecture, proficiency in ArchiCAD, and be registered with NIA (Namibian Institute of Architects) or NCAQS (Namibian Council for Architectural and Quantity Surveying Services), or SACAP/ You must be an English speaker, with a valid driver’s license, and able to manage projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage architectural projects, overseeing the design, development, and execution of various projects.
• Prepare detailed architectural designs and plans using ArchiCAD.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design feasibility, compliance with regulations, and budget management.
• Oversee construction, ensuring all projects are completed within scope, time, and budget, while maintaining quality.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, resolve design issues, and ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and architectural drawings for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to junior staff, promoting best practices and fostering professional growth.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an Architect.
• Registered with NIA (Namibian Institute of Architects) or NCAQS (Namibian Council for Architectural and Quantity Surveying Services).
• Proficient in ArchiCAD and other architectural design software.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and construction processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex design and technical issues.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
