Project Architect – UAE Commercial & High-Rise Projects
Location: Cape Town
An internationally recognised architectural firm with a strong global presence is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its Cape Town studio, working on prestigious commercial, high-rise, hospitality, and residential projects located in the UAE.
This role is suited to an architect who has direct, hands-on experience working on international projects based in the UAE, and who is comfortable operating within the technical, regulatory, and design frameworks of the Middle East market.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design development and delivery of UAE-based projects, collaborating with international consultants, clients, and project teams. The position requires a strong understanding of UAE authority requirements, high-rise building complexities, and international project workflows.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage architectural packages on UAE-based commercial and high-rise developments
• Develop architectural designs from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants and international stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, codes, and approval processes
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews
• Support and mentor junior architectural staff where required

Minimum Requirements
• Professional qualification in Architecture
• Proven experience working on international projects based in the UAE (essential)
• Demonstrated experience on high-rise, high-end hospitality, commercial, and/or residential projects
• Previous experience in a Project Architect or senior architectural role
• Strong understanding of UAE authority standards, approvals, and coordination processes
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard architectural software
• Strong technical detailing and documentation skills
• Experience coordinating complex building systems typical of high-rise developments
