Position: Project Manager
Location: Sandton
Employment Type: Permanent
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing construction projects within the hospitality sector. Please find the detailed requirements for the position below.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
• Manage project teams, including coordination with internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project progress, prepare detailed reports, and address any challenges that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and provide regular updates to clients and management.
• Address and resolve project-related issues promptly, applying creative problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles.
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in design management, construction, or project management within the hospitality sector.
• Registration with SACPCMP as a PrCPM or equivalent international institution (advantageous).
• Experience in managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and bulk services is an advantage.
• Strong experience in site work and collaborating with professional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking software.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit for South Africa.
• A valid passport is required.
