Project Manager – Joinery & Construction Near Blackheath Cape Town
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with expertise in joinery and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes to lead construction projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Manage joinery-related aspects, ensuring seamless integration with overall construction.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production schedules and material procurement.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house staff.
• Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Maintain client relationships through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
• Prepare and present project reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 5+ years in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on joinery.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of joinery production, materials, and installation techniques.
• Project Management: Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar tools.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (preferred).
• Safety Compliance: Familiarity with industry safety regulations and best practices.
