Our client is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a high-performing architectural team delivering hospitality-focused projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys ownership of detailed design packages while working closely with design leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
You will support the architectural design team through the delivery of projects primarily across RIBA Stages 3 and 4, with involvement in other stages as required. The position suits a confident, self-directed individual who can work independently while remaining responsive during key coordination periods.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce and manage BIM models and detailed architectural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Coordinate design information across hospitality projects and consultant teams
• Adapt designs to suit site conditions, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks
• Maintain organised, compliant digital models aligned with BIM best practice
• Coordinate complex building elements and review manufacturer and shop drawings
• Assist with technical detailing, mock-ups, and prototyping as required
• Support costing, sales, and contract documentation through drawing updates and scope graphics
• Track tasks, time, and progress using ERP systems
Required Experience & Skills
• Registered PSAT with SACAP
• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software
• Solid understanding of building regulations, detailing, and construction methodologies
• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Passion for high-quality hospitality design
Advantageous Experience
• Advanced rendering and visualisation skills (e.g. Lumion, Photoshop)
• Strong SketchUp modelling and site integration capability
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
