The Role:
As a Senior Conceptual Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating visionary and unique design concepts for prestigious hospitality projects, including five-star hotels, luxury resorts, and bespoke public spaces. You will lead the conceptual design phase, working closely with clients, architects, and project teams to ensure that your creative vision aligns with both the client’s brand identity and the technical requirements of the project. Your expertise in Revit will play a crucial role in developing detailed 3D models, visuals, and technical documentation that bring your creative concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the conceptual design process for luxury hospitality projects, including high-end hotels, resorts, and VIP spaces.
• Develop innovative design concepts that embody the essence of luxury while addressing client needs, brand identity, and project goals.
• Create mood boards, sketches, 3D models, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Utilize Revit to produce detailed 3D models, visualizations, and construction documentation, ensuring designs are feasible and aligned with technical specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure that conceptual designs meet structural, operational, and aesthetic standards.
• Lead and mentor junior designers, offering creative direction and technical support to ensure the highest design standards.
• Stay at the forefront of luxury design trends, materials, and technologies, continuously bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
• Oversee the integration of design concepts with overall architectural plans and technical documentation, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
• Present design concepts and developments to clients and stakeholders, refining the design vision based on feedback and project requirements.
• Ensure quality control of design output, maintaining consistency and excellence in all aspects of the project.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Proven experience as a Senior Conceptual Interior Designer with a strong focus on luxury hospitality projects (5+ years preferred).
• Expertise in Revit for 3D modeling, visualization, and documentation (essential).
• Strong portfolio showcasing large-scale, high-end hospitality designs that demonstrate creativity, luxury, and attention to detail.
• Ability to create and communicate compelling, luxurious design concepts from ideation to final presentation.
• In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with high-end hospitality environments.
• A deep understanding of the guest experience and how design can enhance functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal in luxury hospitality settings.
• Experience working with architects, consultants, and contractors to integrate design concepts with building systems and structures.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a collaborative approach to working within a design team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design concepts clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of a project simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to adapt and innovate during the design process.
Qualifications:
• A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, as well as other design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
• 5+ years of experience in conceptual interior design, with a focus on luxury hospitality projects.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in designing large, luxury hospitality interiors.
• Eligible to work in South Africa (or applicable region).
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
