A leading design practice is looking for a talented Technical Interior Designer / Architectural Technologist to join its technical delivery team. In this role, you will support the Technical Design Manager and work directly with project management and installation teams to deliver high-end residential interiors with exceptional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation & Production
• Produce complete working drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and detailed notes.
• Prepare high-quality joinery, shopfitting, bespoke furniture, and construction drawings for fabrication.
• Convert conceptual designs into fully resolved technical solutions.
• Ensure all technical documentation is coordinated, accurate, and compliant with standards.
Project Coordination & Problem Solving
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to align documentation with timelines, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Issue updated drawings and technical clarifications during fabrication and installation.
• Support the Installation Team in resolving on-site challenges while maintaining design integrity.
Supplier, Manufacturer & Artisan Liaison
• Communicate detailed technical requirements to contractors, craftsmen, and fabricators.
• Ensure bespoke components are manufactured to correct specifications and quality expectations.
• Assist with material choices, feasibility checks, and technical evaluations.
Site Involvement
• Conduct site visits to confirm measurements, monitor progress, and check installation accuracy.
• Identify issues early and assist in preparing technical solutions to keep projects on track.

Required Software Skills
Essential:
• AutoCAD or Revit (strong proficiency)
• Excellent 2D drafting and technical drawing ability
Advantageous:
• SketchUp
• Basic rendering capability
• Photoshop for mark-ups and overlays

Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical interior design, architectural technology, or a related field.
• Experience in luxury residential or hospitality interiors is essential.
• Proven track record of producing detailed technical drawing packs for bespoke furniture and joinery.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, fixing techniques, and manufacturing processes.
