R45,000–R60,000 per month depending on experience and qualifications

The Role
We’re hiring a Client Manager to lead one of our delivery pods. You’ll own a portfolio of Irish SME clients, lead your pod team You will be the technical and relationship anchor for your book.
This is a senior position. You’ll be the day-to-day operational lead for your pod, the technical reviewer, the client relationship owner, and the person who makes sure work goes out clean, on time, and to a standard we can be proud of.
You’ll have meaningful autonomy and meaningful accountability. Both come together.
What You’ll Own
Client Relationships
Own primary relationships with a portfolio of 40 to 60 SME clients. Run regular client meetings — not just to walk through numbers, but to challenge them. Help the Clients read what the numbers are telling them about their business: cash flow, margin, pricing, hiring decisions, where they’re leaking money. Our clients are ambitious, growing SMEs who need active engagement, not annual compliance.
Pod Delivery
Lead pod delivery across monthly bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts, year-end accounts and tax return preparation. Allocate work, manage workload balance, and make sure nothing slips.
Technical Quality
Review and approve work from your senior accountants and production team. Catch issues early. Hold the line on quality without becoming a bottleneck.
Team Leadership
Coach and develop your pod. Give clear, useful feedback. Onboard new hires into the team culture. Build technical capability through real work and structured coaching.
Systems and Standards
Champion best-practice use of our tech stack: Xero, Dext, Karbon, Syft, XBert, Active Workpapers. Contribute to SOPs and playbooks. Help shape how we deliver as we scale.
AI-Augmented Delivery
We’re actively building AI into our production workflow. You don’t need to be a technologist, but you do need to be curious, open, and able to spot where the human judgement layer matters and where it doesn’t.
About You
Must-Haves
Qualified accountant (CA(SA), SAIPA, ACCA or equivalent)
7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a practice or high-quality BPO environment serving international clients
2+ years managing a team or running a client portfolio with full P&L responsibility
Strong technical foundation: reconciliations, VAT, management accounts, year-end accounts, tax returns
Deep Xero proficiency. Comfortable across Dext, Karbon, Syft, working papers
Demonstrated ability to run client relationships with founders or senior decision-makers
Strong written and spoken English. Comfortable communicating with Irish and international clients
Bonus Points For
Exposure to UK or Irish tax and compliance workflows
Experience in a pod-based or high-autonomy delivery environment
Genuine interest in how AI is reshaping accounting delivery
A track record of raising standards in teams you’ve inherited
Not a Fit If
Your background is audit or internal finance only
You need close supervision to deliver
You’re looking for a stepping-stone role to something else within 18 months
