Our client, a well-established company specializing in signage, branding, activations, large-format printing, and visual communication solutions, is seeking a skilled DTP Operator to join their production team.
This role is ideal for a technically strong DTP professional with experience in the signage and print production industry who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality visual branding solutions for commercial clients, events, exhibitions, and activations.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare artwork and production-ready files for a wide variety of signage, branding, displays, banners, vehicle graphics, and promotional material.
• Produce accurate layouts using industry-standard design software while ensuring artwork meets print and production specifications.
• Create proofs, visuals, and mock-ups for internal review and client approval.
• Select appropriate substrates and materials including vinyl, acrylic, PVC, aluminium, fabric, and other signage materials.
• Ensure all artwork complies with colour specifications, sizing, bleed, and production requirements.
• Coordinate print production schedules to ensure projects are completed within required deadlines.
• Monitor print quality throughout production and assist in maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Work closely with the production, fabrication, installation, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Assist with job planning, production scheduling, and workflow management.
• Manage and monitor stock levels of print media, materials, and consumables where required.
• Assist with finishing, trimming, packaging, and preparing completed work for installation or dispatch.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on printers and production equipment and report any technical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records and provide regular progress updates on live projects.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health & safety procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuously develop knowledge of new printing technologies, materials, and production techniques.
Minimum Requirements
• Relevant qualification or proven experience in DTP, Graphic Design, Print Production, or Signage.
• Previous experience within the signage, branding, large-format printing, exhibition, or visual communications industry is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in:
o CorelDRAW
o Adobe Illustrator
o Adobe Photoshop
• Experience preparing artwork for digital and large-format print production.
• Good understanding of print production processes, fabrication methods, and signage manufacturing.
• Knowledge of different print media, substrates, and finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple projects while working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Practical understanding of quality control processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a production environment.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety standards within a production environment will be advantageous.
