We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Estimator to join our team in Fourways, Sandton. This is an office-based role suited to someone with strong measuring, quantification, and costing skills within the interior fit-out, FF&E, or construction environment.
You will play a critical role in accurately measuring drawings, compiling quantities, preparing cost estimates, and supporting procurement and project planning. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, spreadsheets, and translating technical drawings into accurate project costs.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quantification
• Measure drawings and compile accurate quantity take-offs for FF&E and interior fit-out elements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost schedules
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope
• Identify cost risks, gaps, or discrepancies in documentation
Costing & Procurement Support: Using Excel
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assist in pricing FF&E items, materials, and installation costs
• Compare supplier pricing and support value engineering initiatives
• Maintain accurate costing databases and pricing records
Project Support & Administration
• Build and manage detailed estimating spreadsheets and trackers
• Assist with purchase orders, cost tracking, and budget monitoring
• Support procurement by verifying quantities and specifications
• Maintain organized digital records of estimates, drawings, and supplier information
Coordination & Reporting
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and cost reports
• Monitor project cost changes and update estimates accordingly
• Support handover of accurate cost information to project teams

Requirements
Essential:
• Experience in estimating, quantity take-offs, or project costing within interior fit-out, FF&E, or construction
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Advantageous:
• Experience with FF&E estimating
• Experience with estimating or accounting software (e.g., SAGE or similar)
• Experience in hospitality, corporate, retail, or residential projects
• Relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, interior design, or similar
