FINANCIAL MANAGER for Shopfitting and Installation Company
Location: Johannesburg
Salary: R50,000 CTC per month
About the Role
An established and growing company specialising in shop fitting, installations and the manufacturing of unique, customised products is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join its team.
This role is suited to a financially minded professional with 1–3 years of relevant experience who is looking to take ownership of the company’s financial administration, reporting and day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will be organised, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning and monitoring expenditure against budgets.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and customer accounts.
• Manage invoicing, payments, collections and supplier transactions.
• Monitor project costs, production expenses and installation-related expenditure to support accurate cost control.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow and highlight potential financial risks or discrepancies.
• Assist with VAT submissions, tax-related documentation and statutory compliance.
• Work closely with management and operational teams to provide financial information that supports business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
• 1–3 years of relevant financial management, accounting or finance experience.
• Practical experience using Xero and Sage is essential.
• A relevant finance or accounting qualification would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to working with management, suppliers and clients.
