Interior Architecture Revit BIM Manager
Location: Near Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa
A well-established and highly respected Interior Architecture and Design practice is seeking an experienced Revit BIM Manager to join its team based near Somerset West, Cape Town. This is a full-time, office-based position requiring attendance in the office five days per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and standardising BIM workflows across a range of high-profile projects. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong professional with extensive Autodesk Revit expertise, excellent coordination skills, and a passion for driving BIM best practices within a collaborative design environment.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Standards & Quality Management
• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, templates, family libraries, naming conventions, and modelling procedures.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and data integrity across all project models.
• Monitor model quality and compliance with company BIM standards.
Revit Leadership & Technical Support
• Serve as the in-house Revit expert and primary point of contact for BIM-related matters.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for project teams.
• Train and mentor staff on Revit and associated software platforms, including SketchUp and Enscape.
• Promote BIM best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Workflow Development & Optimisation
• Review and improve BIM processes to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve collaboration across teams.
• Assist with the implementation of new BIM technologies and processes.
Project Coordination & Collaboration
• Manage interdisciplinary model coordination and clash detection processes.
• Facilitate project collaboration using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Coordinate project setup, including worksets, shared coordinates, and model management.
• Ensure effective communication and information exchange between project stakeholders.
Autodesk Construction Cloud Administration
• Maintain and manage project information within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Upload, track, and monitor BIM documentation, reports, and project deliverables.
• Manage and maintain ACC trackers and reporting systems for prestigious projects.
Software & Systems Management
• Assist with software administration, updates, and licence management.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to BIM systems and workflows.
• Support the ongoing development of digital design and project delivery processes.
Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Autodesk Revit Architecture.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience within the Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture industry.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, including parametric modelling and family creation.
• Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, standards, and project workflows.
• Experience coordinating BIM models across multiple disciplines.
• Proven experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Solid understanding of international BIM standards, file management protocols, and cloud-based collaboration environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong leadership, training, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to guide teams through the adoption of BIM standards and new technologies.
• Good understanding of the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) project lifecycle.
