Inventory Manager – Furniture & Interiors for International Company
Location: Cape Town (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

A leading international property and interiors company is seeking a highly organised Inventory Manager to oversee the management and movement of a large furniture inventory used across multiple residential projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of operations, logistics, and interior design, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Reporting to an international Head of Department, you will take ownership of inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse coordination to ensure furniture is available, prepared, and delivered for installations on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the company’s furniture inventory and warehouse operations
• Monitor stock levels and forecast inventory needs for upcoming projects
• Coordinate furniture deliveries, installations, and returns with project teams
• Ensure all items are tracked, quality-checked, and ready for use
• Oversee purchasing of new inventory and manage supplier lead times
• Control storage, logistics, and installation costs
• Work closely with design and operations teams to ensure project readiness
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and operational efficiency
Requirements
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in inventory management, logistics, furniture, interiors, or similar operational roles
• Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and costs
• Interest in furniture, interiors, or property-related projects
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
• Strong systems and reporting skills (experience with inventory or project management platforms advantageous)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Work Setup
• Hybrid role – 2 days per week in the Cape Town office
• Must be based in Cape Town, South Africa
• Reliable fibre internet, backup power solution, and suitable home-office setup required
