LEAD INTERIOR DESIGNER FOR EXCLUSIVE DESIGN STUDIO
Company focuses on projects within SA and African Borders
Permanent Position | Full-Time or Part-Time | South Africa
An exciting opportunity for a talented, creative and technically strong Lead Interior Designer to join an established design company specialising in hospitality and lodge projects, with operations based in Africa.
The successful candidate will lead interior design projects from concept through to installation and handover, working closely with the Creative Directors.
Key Requirements
• Excellent technical CAD skills – plans, elevations, sections, joinery detailing and construction documentation
• Strong SketchUp proficiency
• Exceptional creative flair, design judgement and an eye for furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics and materials
• Ability to develop mood boards, design concepts and professional presentations
• Strong project coordination, sourcing and procurement skills
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
• Revit experience advantageous, but not essential
Key Responsibilities
• Lead interior design projects from concept to completion
• Develop layouts, detailed drawings, specifications and material selections
• Coordinate suppliers, procurement, budgets and project timelines
• Oversee design documentation, installations and final handovers
• Coordinate and review work undertaken by supporting designers
Important: Candidates must be willing to travel to African neighbours including Botswana and other project locations, including remote lodge sites when required.
Remuneration: Negotiable, based on experience.
