Senior Architect – Luxury Hospitality Projects (Africa Region)
International Company: Remote role, possible offices to be established in SA in future
We are partnering with a globally recognised design studio to recruit a Senior Architect with extensive experience in high-end hospitality developments. With a growing portfolio of luxury lodge and resort projects across East Africa, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering world-class architectural solutions in unique and dynamic environments.

• CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN: LARGE, HIGH-END LUXURY TENTED CAMPS, LODGES AND 5-STAR INTERNATIONAL HOTELS
Role Overview
This is a hands-on, senior-level position suited to an experienced architect who thrives across all project stages — from concept through to on-site delivery. The successful candidate will bring strong regional insight, a passion for luxury hospitality design, and the ability to lead projects while collaborating with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver architectural projects from concept design through to completion
• Translate client briefs into innovative, high-quality design solutions
• Oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring design integrity
• Work closely with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
• Manage project timelines, technical documentation, and design development
• Mentor and guide junior team members
• Contribute to the successful delivery of luxury lodges, resorts, and hospitality developments
Requirements
• Minimum 10+ years’ professional architectural experience
• Proven track record of delivering at least 3 full lifecycle projects (concept to completion)
• Strong site experience, including construction supervision and coordination
• Demonstrated experience in large, high-end luxury lodges, tented camps, and 5-star international hotels
• Solid understanding of materials, construction methods, and detailing for high-end developments
• Experience working with international clients and project teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region
Location
• Based in Dubai, with travel across Africa
• Potential flexibility to be based in South Africa should a regional office be established
Package & Benefits
• Salary: Market-related, depending on experience and qualifications
• Working hours: Full-time (08:00 – 17:30)
• Annual leave: 22 working days
