Senior Civil Engineer Building & Infrastructure Projects
Location: Limerick, Ireland (Relocation Required)
An established Civil Engineering consultancy based in Limerick, Ireland’s third-largest city, is urgently seeking to appoint two Senior Civil Engineers to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Civil Engineers who enjoy a client-facing role and thrive in a collaborative, professional environment. We are looking for individuals who are well-spoken, personable, down-to-earth, and able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Please note: Candidates must be open to relocating to Limerick, Ireland. Successful candidates will initially commence employment remotely while their Critical Skills Work Permit visa is being processed.
Key Responsibilities
• Design civil infrastructure for a wide range of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial developments in Ireland and internationally.
• Prepare planning, tender, and construction documentation.
• Assist with the delivery of infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical and design solutions.
• Maintain a strong commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
Minimum Requirements
• Higher Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ Civil Engineering experience, with applications welcomed from candidates with 5–20 years’ experience depending on qualifications, skills, and overall fit.
• Must have substantial experience in building and infrastructure projects.
• Experience must include infrastructure associated with residential, hotel, commercial, or industrial developments.
• Candidates must have worked for at least 5 years with one employer where they were involved in infrastructure projects.
• Experience in roads, bridges, or purely stormwater projects alone will not be considered.
• Professional registration and/or Chartered status is advantageous.
• Membership with a recognised engineering institution is advantageous.
• Proven commitment to CPD.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; candidates must be well-spoken and confident in client-facing environments.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to take pride in delivering quality work.
• Overseas project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Experience on projects within the UAE, Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia (KSA) would be a significant advantage.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D would be advantageous.
• Experience using Windes/MicroDrainage would be advantageous.

Salary
• Market-related CTC salary, paid in Euros, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Candidates should note that all personal living and relocation expenses will be funded from their CTC package.
