Our client, a dynamic and growing interior design studio, specialising in high-end residential and commercial projects, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Conceptual Interior Designer to join their creative team.
This is a key role for a designer who combines strong conceptual thinking, creative vision and design leadership with the ability to develop sophisticated, highly considered interiors from initial concept through to design development.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading high-end interior design concepts, translating client briefs into compelling design solutions and ensuring a consistent design vision throughout the project.
The role requires a designer with a strong creative eye, excellent understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, spatial planning and detailing, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with clients, architects, suppliers and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the conceptual design process from initial client brief through to developed design.
• Develop strong and innovative interior design concepts, mood boards, material palettes and presentations.
• Translate client requirements into sophisticated, functional and aesthetically cohesive design solutions.
• Develop spatial planning, furniture layouts, finishes, colour schemes, lighting concepts and FF&E selections.
• Prepare and present design concepts to clients and confidently communicate the creative vision.
• Work closely with architects, interior designers, technical teams and external consultants.
• Research and source bespoke furniture, finishes, fabrics, fixtures, fittings and decorative elements.
• Oversee design development and ensure the original creative intent is maintained throughout the project.
• Review and provide creative input into technical drawings, specifications and design documentation.
• Attend client meetings, supplier meetings and site visits where required.
• Stay current with international interior design trends, materials, products and emerging design concepts.
• Mentor and provide creative direction to junior and intermediate designers.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a consistently high design standard.
Minimum Requirements – Non-Negotiable
• Relevant Interior Design / Interior Architecture qualification.
• Minimum 7–10 years’ professional interior design experience, preferably within a high-end design environment.
• Proven experience in high-end residential and/or commercial interiors.
• Strong conceptual design and creative development skills.
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E, furniture, lighting and interior detailing.
• Strong presentation and client-facing abilities.
• Excellent design portfolio demonstrating conceptual creativity and completed projects.
• Strong proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and/or Revit.
• Ability to take a project from initial brief and concept through to design development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.

Please note: This position is best suited to a Senior Interior Designer with a strong conceptual and creative portfolio who has demonstrated experience delivering sophisticated, high-end interior environments. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of creative design development and client presentation.
