Senior Interior Decorator
Reporting To: Interior Design Team + Director
Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
Employment Type: Full-Time

Roles and Responsibilities
Objective:
As a Senior Interior Decorator, the primary objective of your role is to ensure exceptional interior design and decoration services are provided to our Client’s, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the organization.
You will be provided with everything that you may need, including any
support required, to successfully meet the following responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Planning and Execution
• Working closely with the design lead, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, planning, documentation, and execution of interior decoration projects, ensuring alignment with Client
objectives, timelines and budgets.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, details and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to Clients and other role players.
• Selection of furniture, furnishings, and accessories, ensuring they comply with the design concept, and meet design specifications, quality standards and budget parameters.
2. Client Management
• Working closely with the design lead, serve as contact for Clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, good communication and exceptional customer service.
• Conduct Client consultations to understand their needs, preferences, vision for their spaces, budgets and timelines, and provide expert advice and recommendations.
Collaborate closely with Clients throughout the design process, providing feedback, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the final results.
3. Project Coordination and Execution
• Reporting directly to the project lead, manage multiple design projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects from concept to completion.
• Co-ordinate with external role players, such as contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers and suppliers, to co-ordinate and procure services, furnishings and materials, to ensure alignment
with project requirements.
• Develop and monitor project programs, deliverables and budgets, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
4. Quality Assurance and Design Standards
• Uphold high standards of design excellence, craftmanship and attention to detail in all projects.
• Follow quality assurance processes and protocols to continuously improve the department’s design output and Client satisfaction.
• Undertake all administrative tasks, including design documentation, supplier co-ordination and inspections, to ensure design specifications and required standards are achieved, in a timeous manner.
5. Trend Analysis and Innovation
• Stay abreast of current design trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices, and incorporate it into designs.
• Engage in a culture of creativity, exploration and experimentation within the team, partaking in opportunities for personal growth and development.

Education:
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Décor, or a related field.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design or décor, preferably in a high-end environment.
Skills:
• Strong sense of aesthetics.
• Excellent knowledge of décor trends, finishes, fabrics and detailing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Revit or AutoCad beneficial.
• Strong administrative, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:
