Our award-winning Client in Cape Town that specialises in High end Residential Projects is currently looking for a highly driven and experienced Senior Interior Architect/Senior Interior Designer to join their dynamic team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team, working on high-end residential projects. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading design projects from concept to completion, collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative and stylish designs. You will be expected to provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, while maintaining the highest level of design excellence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery
• Develop and execute design plans, including space planning, color schemes, and furniture selection
• Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and goals, providing expert guidance and recommendations
• Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Design and specify materials, finishes, and products for high-end residential projects
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a high level of design expertise

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
• 8+ years of experience in interior design, with a focus on high-end residential projects
• Professional certification (NCIDQ or LEED AP) or willingness to obtain
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or related field
• Experience working with luxury brands or high-end residential clients
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials
