Location: Gauteng (Hybrid Role)

About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and design-focused studio specialising in luxury residential interiors, is seeking a talented and self-driven Interior Designer to join their growing team.
This position is ideally suited to a designer who enjoys managing projects independently and has proven experience delivering sophisticated, high-end residential environments from concept through to final installation.
The successful candidate will work primarily from home while remaining actively involved in site visits, client meetings and project coordination. Attendance at the Gauteng office will be required on a weekly basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer with a passion for bespoke interiors, premium finishes and custom kitchen design.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead interior design projects from initial briefing and concept development through to final completion.
• Develop innovative and practical design solutions for luxury residential projects.
• Prepare detailed space planning layouts, design concepts and presentation material.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings, construction documentation and joinery details.
• Design bespoke kitchens, built-in cabinetry and custom interior elements.
• Source finishes, fixtures, furnishings and materials aligned with project requirements and budgets.
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes and client presentations.
• Manage project administration, specifications and supplier coordination.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure design intent is achieved.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project timelines, procurement schedules and installation processes.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and detail.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional interior design (less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates).
• Proven experience working on high-end residential interior projects.
• Previous experience in kitchen design, custom joinery and bespoke cabinetry is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently from concept to completion.
• Exceptional technical drawing and detailing skills.
• Strong project coordination and organisational abilities.
Software Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate advanced proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Adobe Photoshop
Experience with additional Adobe Creative Suite programs will be advantageous.
The ability to produce professional client presentations and accurate technical documentation is essential.

Employment Details
• Primarily work-from-home position with one compulsory office day per week.
• Company laptop and required software will be provided.
• Employees will utilise their own mobile phone, with a monthly contribution towards business-related calls.
• Work-related travel will be reimbursed at the approved company rate.
• Annual leave allocation of 15 working days, with the majority to be taken during the December construction shutdown period.
• Standard leave provisions and employment conditions will apply.
