Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager For Construction Firm based in Seychelles

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple high-value property developments in the Seychelles. These include the renovation and expansion of a luxury 5-star hotel, alongside additional commercial and residential projects.
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring a strong balance between on-site construction management and strategic development oversight. The successful candidate will manage projects end-to-end across all phases, from early initiation and design development through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover, while providing clear, executive-level reporting to ownership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Project Leadership (Approx. 50%)
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
• Lead technical coordination on-site to resolve design and construction challenges efficiently
• Identify project risks and opportunities for optimisation and improvement
• Liaise with local authorities to secure permits, approvals, and statutory compliance
• Build, mentor, and manage junior project coordinators
• Ensure robust QA/QC processes and strict adherence to HSE standards
• Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, variations, and progress reports
Development & Project Management (Approx. 50%)
• Act as the primary interface between clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare project briefs, manage client service delivery, and assess technical due diligence documentation
• Develop and approve baseline programmes, budgets, and procurement strategies
• Monitor costs, resources, and timelines, implementing value engineering and cost-control measures
• Appoint and manage consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, including contract negotiations and dispute resolution
• Chair senior-level progress meetings and produce clear reports and presentations for stakeholders

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in both Development Management and Project Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering international hotel developments or large-scale property projects
• Strong background in procurement strategies, specialist fit-out packages, and contractor coordination
(e.g. AV, kitchens, laundry equipment, spa facilities)
• Working knowledge of JBCC and FIDIC contract forms
• Excellent capabilities in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Solid understanding of quality assurance, health & safety regulations, and sustainable construction practices
• Strong risk management, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English (French and/or Creole advantageous)
